The Old Albanian Cricket Club ECB website is at http://oldalbanians.play-cricket.com/home/home.asp where you can contact the club by email message. Please note that the registration page on this website does not operate - if you wish to contact the club you must go to website referred to above.
This is the players' website for the senior club of the Old Albanian Cricket Club. The club is based in St Albans and runs four Saturday teams of which three participate in the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League (Divs 3, 7, & 11) along with three Sunday teams of which one participates in the Chess Valley Sunday League (Div 6). Our facilities are among the best in Hertfordshire having been developed in 2001. There are two grass squares and a third grass mini square for junior matches along with an artificial wicket meaning that OAs can host three senior games at a time.
We welcome enquiries from new players and would be pleased to hear from prospective overseas players who may be interested in joining us in 2012.
We also have a junior section, starting at under 5 and up to and including under 15s. Junior cricket is for 2012 is underway with winter training and the younger age groups have been filling up fast. Unfortunately, lack of resources mean we are unable to offer Under 14 (Year 9) cricket this year. Most of the younger groups up to Under 11 (Year 6) are now provisionally full for 2012, as is the Under 15 group. For age groups that are full, we operate waiting lists to enable us to offer a place should a vacancy become available. We therefore continue to welcome expressions of interest. The Under 8 group (Year 3) is however heavily oversubscribed, and there is little chance of any new enquirer for this group obtaining a place this year. If you are enquiring about joining for junior cricket, please indicate the school year of your child so we can respond accurately.
Our home ground is the OA Sport ground, the Woollam Playing Fields on the north side of St Albans. Follow this weblink for a map - http://maps.google.co.uk/?q=AL36BB
